The collection service is subject to a charge in accordance with the following scale:
Administration fee per lot (including VAT): from €5 to €25 depending on the nature and size of the lots purchased (the administration fee is capped at €50 including VAT per collection). The administration fee represents a flat rate for the first 4 days of storage, regardless of whether collection takes place on the 1st or the 4th day.
Storage and insurance charges per lot (including VAT): €1 / €5 / €10 / €15 / €20 per day, from the third working day onwards, depending on the nature of the lot (*). A 50 per cent reduction in storage fees is granted to overseas customers and trade customers from outside the region, upon presentation of supporting documentation.
No lot will be released until all sums due have been paid in full and the paid receipt and/or sales label has been presented. Any item or lot not collected from the Storage Department within one year of being placed in storage shall be deemed abandoned, and ownership thereof shall be transferred to Drouot as security to cover storage costs.
*The following are considered:
Very small: jewellery, books, unframed works on paper, lots with a volume of less than 0.10 m³ and weighing less than 10 kg.
Small: paintings measuring less than 1.5 x 1.5 m; lots with a volume of less than 0.10 m³ and weighing between 10 kg and 20 kg; consignments with a volume of between 0.10 m³ and 0.50 m³ and weighing less than 20 kg.
Medium: paintings measuring more than 1.5 x 1.5 m, consignments with a volume of less than 0.50 m³ and weighing between 20 and 50 kg, consignments with a volume of between 0.50 m³ and 2 m³ and weighing less than 50 kg.

Notwithstanding the Act of 31 December 1903, the successful bidder acknowledges and agrees that any goods not collected by them within three months shall be deemed abandoned and may be sold following the lodging ofan application to the court, and that Drouot will not be required to wait one year before proceeding with their auction in accordance with the Act of 31 December 1903.
Consequently, it is hereby reiterated that items which have not been collected within three months may be put up for sale again in order to cover storage costs.
By way of a contractual extension of the Act of 31 December 1903—which permits only the sale of abandoned items but does not entitle the custodian to seek a court order to destroy them—the successful bidder expressly acknowledges that items of low market value (i.e. goods with a purchase price to the successful bidder of less than 50 euros) which have not been collected by the successful bidder within six months shall be deemed to have been definitively abandoned by the successful bidder. Ownership of these items shall then pass to TSE, which may destroy them after sending a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt (LRAR) to which no reply has been received within one month, without having to seek a court order as referred to in Article 2 of the Act of 31 December 1903 concerning the sale of abandoned property. In any event, in the event of destruction, the successful bidder may under no circumstances claim any loss in excess of the purchase price paid by the successful bidder for the destroyed item.
