Much like the Café de Flore in Paris, the Péano was the place in Marseille for reunions, the arts and friendship. During the war and the post-war reconstruction, one might have bumped into Pierre Ambrogiani, Antoine Serra, Arsène Sari, Antoine Ferrari, Antoine Gianelli … and many others. This sale brings together a selection of works by these ‘painters of colour’.
The lots are on display and can be collected from Millon Marseille Provence, 201 rue Paradis, 13006, by appointment with Ms Delphine Orts on 06 74 43 54 02 or at [email protected]
