Costs payable by the buyer In addition to the hammer price, the buyer shall pay Dame Marteau a buyer’s premium of 21 per cent (including VAT) of the hammer price. Payment Payment must be made immediately after the sale. Should the successful bidder not have registered prior to the sale, they must provide clear proof of their identity and their bank details. The successful bidder may pay by the following means: - By bank transfer in €. - In cash in €, up to an amount equal to or less than €1,000: for private individuals with their tax residence in France, and for any person acting in the course of a professional activity. - By certified bank cheque in euros, subject to the mandatory presentation of a valid identity document. Any bank charges relating to payment, in particular for bank transfers, shall be borne by the successful bidder, as shall any currency conversion costs.
