Brigitte Bardot: The Sale tells the story of a life through 285 objects kept in her homes in Saint-Tropez and Paris.
Conceived as a narrative divided into chapters, the sale traces the different stages of BB’s life: the birth of the icon, dance and music, her personal belongings, the intimacy of her homes, her family memories and, finally, her commitment to animal welfare.
Her black tutu, her Repetto shoes, her guitars, her Olivetti typewriter, her jewellery, her portraits and even the objects from La Madrague and La Garrigue thus paint a more intimate portrait of Brigitte Bardot, behind the world-famous image.

FEES PAYABLE BY THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER
The successful bidder shall pay Millon, in addition to the hammer price, a commission equal to a percentage of the hammer price, which is degressive in stages as defined below:
• 27% excluding VAT up to 500,000 euros
• 22% excluding VAT from 500,000 euros upwards
VAT rate: 5.50% for works of art, collectables or antiques.
Furthermore, the hammer price is increased as follows in the following cases:
• 1.5% excluding VAT (i.e. 1.8% including VAT*) for lots purchased on the ‘www.drouot.com’ live digital platform ’ (see the Terms and Conditions of the ‘www.drouot.com’ platform)
*Current VAT rate: 20 per cent
APPLICABLE VAT REGIME:
In the case of a work of art, a collector’s item or an antique, Millon is subject to the general VAT regime, which shall apply to the sum of the hammer price and the auction commission, at the reduced rate of 5.5%.
Where the item sold is subject to the standard VAT regime, the amount of VAT will be stated on the auction receipt and the buyer, if liable for VAT, will be entitled to reclaim it where applicable.
STORAGE OF PURCHASES
Lots purchased but not collected by the buyers after the sale will be stored at Magasinage de Drouot.
