Late 19th-century chatelaine with its pocket watch
The links of the chain are made of nielloed silver. Decorated with vine tendrils.
Silversmith’s hallmark ‘E. G’ with a sword, for Emmanuel Gaullier, dated 1892.
At the end is a silver pocket watch by “L. LEROY et Cie” at “7 boulevard de la Madeleine”, bearing the serial number No. 65856. The back is chased with an ‘M’ flanked by flowers and surmounted by a Greek cross. The dial is made of enamelled sheet metal.
Hallmark featuring a boar’s head (800°/°°)
