Lot no. 11
CITROËN 5HP Type C torpedo "trèfle" 1924.
This vehicle was acquired from the ARTCURIAL auction house on 6 February 2015, during the famous Baillon sale, for the astronomically outlandish sum of €25,000 including costs. We have the Artcurial invoice.
The vehicle takes the form of a chassis-motor on wheels, retaining its canopy, radiator and bonnet. It has no wooden bodywork, no radiator grille, and no seats or upholstery. The engine is not blocked.
We found the bonnet in poor condition, with its hoops, the very damaged wooden body, with a front axle and the 4 original wings.
Restoration work has begun, with sandblasted and painted wheels, new tyres and the front part of the chassis repainted. However, the vehicle is incomplete in its current state.
Non-roadworthy vehicle, sold without registration, without roadworthiness test and as is, for parts.
