The Auction House cannot be held liable for any delay, damage, deterioration or loss of the item during transport. Under Article L321-11 of the Commercial Code, civil liability claims arising from appraisals and voluntary or judicial sales of movable property at public auction are subject to a limitation period of five years from the date of the auction or appraisal.
