Post-War & Contemporary Art including the Cluzel Collection 4 June 2026 | starting at 16:00 CEST - Between commitment and passion, the Claude and Grazyna Cluzel collection was born of their peregrinations (at art fairs, visiting studios, galleries and auction rooms) and their fruitful encounters with artists, art critics and dealers in Paris and elsewhere in Europe. Yet nothing predisposed these steel and metallurgy engineers to the field of art, apart from the particularity of their profession, "which is to look to the future in search of novelty and modernity", says Grazyna Cluzel. Collecting the art of its time, from the 1960s onwards, was a bold choice, driven by a genuine intellectual ambition that revealed a deep-seated sense of ambition. Their paintings and sculptures, chosen with infinite care, are veritable masterpieces of the 20th century, and include some of the greatest icons of minimal and conceptual art. - Lot Symbols * Import low rate VAT on imported items at the preferential rate (currently 5.5 %) on Hammer price and Buyer's Premium for artworks, collectibles and antiques if the item remains in EU.
