These materials may also be subject to enhancement practices (oiling for emeralds, heat treatment for sapphires or rubies, bleaching for pearls). These enhancements are considered traditional and are accepted in international trade. They are therefore not mentioned in the catalogue. The operation of all watches was tested at the time of writing the catalogue, and the report provides an assessment (whether functional or not). However, the accuracy of the movements is not guaranteed, nor is the continued operation of the watches after the sale. A routine service should always be carried out after purchasing a second-hand watch. The auction house can arrange for insured postage for jewellery valued at less than €5,000, and only for countries authorised by La Poste.
