Wedding belt buckle, comprising two plates with bevelled corners, made of a silver and copper alloy, the central motif stylised as a sacred vase flanked by birds and a floral design, all worked in repoussé; fastens with a safety clasp and a chain with a pin adorned with Ottoman silver coins mounted on an eyelet.
A somewhat late example of Ottoman craftsmanship, Albania, Balkan Peninsula, late 19th century, early 20th century.
