The sale is for cash only. As the judicial officer, by virtue of their status, acts as an agent on behalf of the seller, it is the seller of the VAT-taxable item who is solely responsible for declaring and paying VAT to the relevant tax authorities. IMPORTANT: As this is a judicial sale, the goods are sold without any warranty of any kind. Vehicles are accompanied by a roadworthiness certificate where feasible. EXPORT: VAT will only be refunded if the goods are exported within one month of the sale. The refund will be made by bank transfer to the successful bidder’s account within 3 months of the sale, upon presentation of supporting documentation.
