Description

'Saint Joseph with Child' Imporsing sculpture in carved and polychromed wood with silver complements such as the rod carried by Saint Joseph and the haloes of both figures. It rests on its original carved and gilded wooden base. 80 x 32 x 20 cm. It is a clothed figure, so the faces, including the neck, and the extremities of Saint Joseph and the Child are polychromed. In this particular case, the quality of the polychromy of the flesh tones of the porcelain-like faces is particularly outstanding.
