Bibliography: Boubacar Doumbia is an international ambassador for Bogolan textile art. He is the founder of the N’domo workshop, a centre for the preservation of plant-based dyes in Pelingana, Ségou, Mali, and a founding member of the Kassobané collective. According to the British Museum, Mr Doumbia’s work ‘demonstrates the influence of traditional Bogolan motifs on a contemporary designer. The textile production and dyeing technique draws inspiration from the traditional resist-dyeing techniques used to produce bogolanfini (mud cloth).’
