Excelling in numerous techniques, he created works in lacquer, bronze and mosaics… many of which, such as the tray presented here, demonstrate that sense of geometric composition which Art Deco brought to its zenith. Throughout his career, he collaborated with the greatest names in the field: the publisher Schmied, the interior designer Ruhlmann, and the fashion designers Poiret and Schiaparelli are just a few examples.
