Air Force helmet, 1935 model, repainted with brown splashes and traces of green. Leather inner lining and chin strap. Manufactured by ET64. Marked on the neck strap in pencil: ‘Batterie du Merlan, 26/8/4’. Includes a handwritten letter detailing the helmet’s provenance.
Note:
The Merlan anti-aircraft batteries consisted of one 8.8 cm battery and one 2 cm battery.
