**Second-class Knight’s Cross of the Order of St Anne in gold, with four red-enamelled arms, gold centres and painted enamel, ring hallmarked: ‘56’ and bearing the coat of arms of the city of St Petersburg; reverse hallmarked, on one arm with the double-headed eagle and, on the other arm, an unidentified hallmark; with its ribbon; width 43 mm, gross weight 15 g. (Minimal wear on the centre of the reverse).
Date: second half of the 19th century. Very good condition.
Joseph Jean Joachim de Gerbaix de Sonnaz (1828–1905), general, politician, 2nd class in 1862.
