Reserve cavalry sabre, Model 1854, with a three-pronged brass hilt, well hallmarked, leather-wrapped tang with filigree decoration, fittedwith a black leather sword-knot; straight blade with a single hollow edge, hallmarked at the heel, signed on the back: ‘Mre d’Armes de Chât – April 1880 – Reserve Cavalry’ ; iron scabbard, two beaded cuffs; length 114 cm.
Third Republic period, circa 1880. Very good condition, almost new.
