*TrŠA beautiful blade in the Oriental style, strongly curved, made of Damascus steel, from the Klingenthal Manufactory, finely engraved on a gold background in the lower third on both sides; one side features foliage at the hilt, a cannon, two crossed sabres, an oriental flag, two cornucopias, a naked child holding a bow and arrow, and a flower-filled urn; the other side features a lyre, a trophy, five tugs, foliage and a radiant sun; signed on the reverse: ‘Manufature de Klingenthal Coulaux frères’; the silk bears an illegible oval hallmark; length 72.5 cm, arrow 10.5 cm. Early Empire period. Very good condition.
