This fruit grows on a wild plum tree, producing a sweet black plum-like fruit that is much appreciated by the Australian aborigines. They only grow on the plant for a few weeks each year. The plum tree is a thorny shrub that can grow up to 2 m high. After the rain, fragrant white flowers bloom. This plant also has medicinal properties. MJ
