Condition Report : Unmounted Freddie (Fred Torres) is the son of Barbara Weir and grandson of Minnie Pwerle. He is also the adopted nephew of Australia's greatest Aboriginal artist Emily Kame Kngwarreye. He began painting in 1989. As a child he spent a lot of time with his family in the Utopia region before moving to Alice Springs and Adelaide. In 1993 he established the Dacou Gallery (Dreaming Art Centre Of Utopia).
