General Abbatucci aged 23 and Portrait of a gentleman with the Legion of Honour
Bronze busts with a brown patina, possibly a pair

A regular creator of portraits of historical figures, Dubray also depicted Emperor Napoleon on horseback, Empress Josephine, the jurist Robert Pothier and Colonel Louis Rossel, who distinguished himself during the Paris Commune.
He is the creator of several monumental sculptures in Corsica, including the Abbatucci statue on the square of the same name in Ajaccio. Dubray also created the marble bust of the general, of which our bronze is a smaller version. It is currently on display in the Gallery of Battles at the Palace of Versailles.
