A small jardinière in cloisonné enamel on gilt copper, finely decorated in polychrome on a midnight blue background with a pair of quails pecking among various varieties of chrysanthemums. Two handles in the form of stylised dragons with flower motifs complete the ornamentation. JAPAN, Meiji period. Probably Namikawa workshop. Dimensions: h. 14.5 cm.
