This rare and very beautiful model of ewer, typically from the Kathmandu valley
Kathmandu valley would originally have been used for libations of consecrated beer
or consecrated water. The embossed brass body is decorated with medallion motifs
with auspicious symbols.
The cast spout emerges from the mouth of a superbly treated makara.
