Tibet circa 19th century
Silver with low title. Height 30 cm
A very fine teapot with a handle traditionally modelled
in the shape of a dragon and the pouring spout in the shape
of a makara.
Note the beautiful expressiveness of the dragon's mouth and the superb
and the superb treatment of the makara's mouth, particularly
the lower part. The handle of the lid is
traditionally modelled in the shape of a lotus bud.
