Copper and brass plated wood. Height 43 cm
Beautiful old sculpture of the classic Mbulu Ngulu type
belonging to group 9 of A. and F. Chaffin's classification.
The whole is remarkably constructed with an imbrication of curved lines
lines, triangles and lozenges, enhanced by the subtle effects of copper and brass
The subtle effects of copper and brass plating give it a beautiful "cubist" effect.
A classic lozenge in slight relief, separated vertically by a perforated bar
is visible on the back. Beautiful patina.
