Rare porcelain dish
Circular in shape, decorated in cobalt blue on a white ground with lotus scrolls in the central medallion and on the wing, separated by a frieze of spiral motifs, the border underlined by a frieze of Grecians.
Diameter: 36.5 cm
(Two cracks on the rim, chips on the rim)
Provenance: Former collection of Mr Moreau, maritime architect for the French government, posted to Vietnam from 1880 to 1885 and 1905.
