Description
TIBET, 17th-18th century Bronze subject depicting the Buddha seated in padmasana on a double lotus base, the right hand resting on the base in the gesture of taking the earth as a witness, known as bhumisparsa mudra, the other holding an object. The face looks serene, the eyes half-closed, the mouth small with full lips and the nose straight, the hairstyle treated in fine picots and surmounted by the ushnisha. A double vajra mark incised under the base. Height : 21 cm Weight: approximately 1458 g (hole in the seal) Provenance : - Collection from the South of France
