CHINA, Peking workshops, circa 1900 A pair of covered vases in enamels painted on copper, standing on circular legs, the ovoid bodies topped by flared necks with domed lids, decorated in polychrome enamels with elegant women in landscapes, the backgrounds decorated with brocade motifs. Flanked by handles in the shape of stylised phoenixes, the knobs on the lids are made of amber beads. Resting on adapted wooden bases. Height: 18.5 cm (excluding base) (Enamel marks on one of the feet) Provenance: - Collection from the South of France
