Description
A small table mirror with an oval frame of frosted white moulded-pressed glass, entirely moulded in high relief with an opulent neo-Baroque design: a cartouche at the top featuring volutes and a rocaille shell framing a small hanging hole, motifs of women in garlands and stylised foliage extending around the entire circumference, with side feet in coiled volutes punctuated by rows of pearls. The central oval mirror, with a slightly tinted and bevelled glass panel, is framed by an applied beaded brass mount. Dated to the late 19th–early 20th century. H_28 cm W_17 cm
