Description
Demeter CHIPARUS (1886–1947). (After).
A bronze sculpture with a brown patina depicting a dancer in the midst of a performance, captured in a characteristic acrobatic pose, her right knee raised at a sharp angle, her arms outstretched in balance on either side of her body, her head adorned with a close-fitting cap featuring an upright feather, in the style of music-hall or revue costumes from the Roaring Twenties.
The bodice and the lower part of the costume are adorned with a delicate incised floral design.
Modern reproduction.
