Versailles flintlock carbine, infantry model 1793.
Rifled, square-bore barrel with traces of a hallmark. Sight grooves at the muzzle and breech. Hallmarked lock plate, engraved ‘Manufre de Versailles’, and a swan-neck hammer with a round body. Cut-out brass fittings. Walnut stock with cheek pieces. Iron keel-shaped ramrod.
