Charles SCHNEIDER (1881–1953) – FRENCH GLASS
‘Scarabées’, a design created circa 1919–1922. Biconical vase. Exemplar in purplish-brown powdered glass on an orange and pink marbled ground. Decoration of stylised scarabs etched in reserve using acid.
Signed on the foot and on the stem.
Minor material imperfections on the neck and small burst firing bubbles within the decoration
