Description
Louis VUITTON (1821–1892)
Poncho, 2023.
Louis Vuitton gold lamé poncho – Collector Spring/Summer 2024.
Fashion show on 20 June 2023 – Pharrell Williams’ first collection for Louis Vuitton.
Source: Younès Bendjima.
On Tuesday 20 June 2023, the Pont Neuf in Paris, a historic symbol of the House of Louis Vuitton, was transformed into an illuminated stage adorned with the Damier pattern, to host Pharrell Williams’ very first fashion show as creative director of the menswear collections.
Guests were invited to the event via a golden envelope in
A4 format, containing a limited-edition gold lamé poncho – designed to double as a raincoat – reserved exclusively for guests at the fashion show.
This piece comes from the personal collection of Younès Bendjima, a Franco-Algerian model who was a guest at the show.
A collector’s item, limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide.
The unisex poncho is made from polypropylene, a rain-resistant material,
suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It features a hood, a
single kangaroo pocket, a black graphic motif depicting the Pont Neuf on the chest and
centrally on the back, as well as press-stud fastenings on the sides.
The item is supplied in its original envelope, accompanied by the
original show details document, on which the job title has been crossed out for the sake of discretion.
Size: one size
Condition: poncho in excellent condition; paper envelope in good condition.
A rare and iconic piece, a direct testament to Pharrell
Williams’s appointment at Louis Vuitton.
