Description
A silver plate, with ram's heads and garlands, Louis XVI style and period, Paris, 1780, 18th C. Silver, 285g.
Silver plate.

Louis XVI style and period.
Silver hallmarks.

- Poinçon de décharge (?): crowned fleur-de-lis above three stars.
- Poinçon de jurande or date letter: crowned R, for 1780 (note: the crowned R also serves as the date letter for 1757, however, based on the object's fully developed Louis XVI style and a poinçon de charge corresponding to the later period of 1768–1774 -rather than 1756–1762- it is dated here to 1780).
- Maker's mark: crowned fleur-de-lis and the letters C, E, and B.
Total gross weight: 285 g.
France, 18th century.
