Flat double-sided enamelled plaque in good condition, impact to a fastener, very slight alterations, with its eyelets.
Enamelling: "Vitracier - Neuhaus". 65 cm diameter.
Louis Renault and his brothers founded their company in Boulogne-Billancourt in 1898. 1913: creation of the Renault Oils company.
1944: Louis Renault arrested on 23 September for "trading with the enemy"; imprisoned in Fresnes, he died a victim of ill-treatment on 24 October. Nationalisation in 1945 for collaborating with the German occupiers, followed by privatisation in the 1990s.
