CITROËN - c.1930 "Prière de ralentir - NE PAS CORNER - Théâtre de Pont-aux-dames". Rare original oval enamelled advertising plaque with strong convexity and half-round profiled edges. 84 x 63 cm. "Donated by Citroën - Very good condition - well preserved colours and beautiful brilliance. There is some discrete fading around the edges, which has no effect on the visual rendering. The whole offers a homogeneous presentation. A very fine model. This theatre is linked to the famous Pont-aux-Dames artists' retirement home, founded at the beginning of the 20th century to accommodate actors and artists. Citroën was founded in 1919 by André Citroën. The brand stood out for its modern production, and established itself as an innovative and revolutionary manufacturer. In 1948, the 2CV was launched, and in 1955 the DS caused a worldwide sensation with its futuristic design. Later, Citroën continued to innovate. In 1976, the brand became part of the PSA Peugeot-Citroën group. In 1900, André Citroën discovered herringbone gears in Poland, and developed their production in France.
