GROS JEAN HORSE - c.1950-60
Rare original enamelled flat advertising plate with ears. 38 x 38 cm.
"Emaillerie Alsacienne Strasbourg Hoenheim".
Exceptional condition - remarkable in every respect.
It is particularly rare to find a copy in such perfectly preserved condition.
The colours, which are remarkably fresh, are luminous, well marked and intact in their intensity. The enamel is exceptionally brilliant, with no alterations or defects to report.
This level of conservation is extremely unusual for this type of piece.
Fromageries Grosjean Frères was founded in Lons-le-Saunier (Jura) in 1901 by Octave Grojean. In 1921, he produced Gruyère cream under the name of La vache sérieuse. In 1970 GROSJEAN was bought out by Nestlé, then Besnier and then the Lactalis group.
