History
Sergei Alexandrovich Dilaktorski (1859-1920) was a Russian watercolourist who mainly painted landscapes. His work focuses on natural motifs associated with hunting scenes, where the human presence remains discreet in favour of a sensitive observation of wildlife and undergrowth. He worked mainly in the Crimea, Yalta, Gurzouf and the south coast, but also in central Russia and the north, exploring a variety of atmospheres. His small watercolours, often in an intimate format, capture moments in nature with spontaneity and delicacy, in a vein that is both descriptive and evocative. His works are held in the Russian Museum in St Petersburg, the Simferopol Art Museum in Crimea and the Alma-Alta Art Gallery in Kazakhstan.
The work is accompanied by a certificate from Mr Valeri Stanislavovitch Silaev dated 05/03/2026.
