84 zolotniks silver tumbler (875 thousandths) with enamelled polychrome cloisonné decoration of flowers and foliage in pastel and navy blue tones in the Art Nouveau style. Good condition. Moscow, 1908-1917. Goldsmith: Maria SEMENOVA. H. 6 cm. Gross weight: 70.8 g. Provenance - Given by Grand Duke Michael Alexandrovich of Russia (1878-1918) to Serge Benett and Edith Benett, née Rata (1882-?), respectively riding instructor and governess to the Grand Duke during his exile in England between 1912 and 1914. - The estate then passed to their daughter, Mary Benett (1916-1983). - Then by descent.
