Large silver ciborium in the neoclassical style, with a circular base adorned with a frieze of heart-shaped rays, a baluster-shaped knob, a plain bowl and a lid engraved with water leaves. Hallmark of the Parisian master silversmith Jean Baptiste FAMECHON, struck in 1805 First Rooster hallmark (1798–1809), Paris. Height: 26 cm. Weight: 522 g. In very fine overall condition. Several neoclassical-style ciboria by this silversmith are held at the Vitré Museum (35).
