A neoclassical-style Monstrance in vermeil; the base is decorated with the biblical Lamb, the Tablets of the Law and Eucharistic symbols, surmounted by a frieze of water leaves, the ovoid knob decorated with the Tetragrammaton and a pelican, flanked by cherubs; the upper section adorned with cherubs amidst clouds, surrounded by a halo. The lunule is missing. Restoration period. Hallmark of the Parisian master goldsmith Edmé GELEZ (1784–1836). ‘Vieillard’ hallmark. Paris ‘grosse garantie’ hallmark (1819–1838). Height: 58.5 cm.
