Description
LARGE BALUSTER VASE
In white porcelain and cobalt blue enamel.
The underglaze decoration consists of four medallions in the centre depicting processions of figures paying homage to high dignitaries and mandarins inside palaces. Artemisia flowers and leafy stems complete the ornamentation.
Two of the concentric bands surrounding the main decoration depict lake scenes with figures.
The heel is also decorated with artemisia leaves.
