‘Pansies’ silver frame, Anglo-Saxon craftsmanship, c. 1900:
A frame for standing or hanging, made of 800 mil openwork silver with bevelled glass; the upper section features a trefoil design richly decorated with pansies, whilst the base is adorned with a heart-shaped malachite cabochon.
A French swan is engraved on the frame and the backing. No maker’s mark.
