Description
‘Amour fidèle’ oil and vinegar set in 950°/°° silver.
Set upon a rectangular openwork base adorned with fleurons beneath arcades resting on claw feet with lion’s-head finials, the bottle holders—decorated with cherubs perched on dogs and thyrses—symbolise faithful love. The body is flanked by two cherubs, surmounted by a drapery, with the spout featuring dog’s heads. The entire rim is decorated with a frieze of water leaves.
Cut crystal bottles decorated with diamond-point motifs.
