DALI, Salvador (1904–1989) – The Laser Unicorn Disintegrates Cosmic Rhinoceros Horns. Drypoint, etching and colour lithograph with embossing on paper, signed and inscribed ‘Artist’s proof’. 93 × 64 cm. Plate no. 6 from the portfolio *La Conquête du cosmos*, 1974. A letterhead from the Saint Regis-Sheraton Hotel in New York is glued to the reverse, bearing the handwritten note: ‘I certify that the plates for *La Conquête du cosmos* were engraved entirely by my own hand’, signed and dated 1974. For nearly forty years, the Saint Regis was Salvador Dalí’s winter residence in New York.
