Description
THE ARTISANS OF MAROLLES & LOIR-ET-CHER under the artistic direction of Jean TOURET (1916–2004):
Dining table with a rectangular oak top; the legs, square in cross-section and tapering towards the base, are made of blackened wrought iron, joined by crossbars and secured by V-shaped stabilisers.
Hot-stamped with ‘Marolles à l’éléphant’.
Early 1960s.
Length: 250 – Width: 100 cm.
Cracks in the top, small chips in one corner.
Provenance:
- acquired directly from the Marolles craftsmen by Mr C. (Chouzy-sur-Cisse)
- passed down through the family to the current owner
