Marc UZAN (born 1955) Beige ceramic bowl decorated with "a frieze of incised motifs on a black background. Signed Marcuz under the base. H. 12 cm and Diam. 22 cm. MARC UZAN After discovering modelling, Marc Uzan opened his first studio in Paris in 1977, before leaving to train in Florence, where he met Salvatore and Stefano Cipolla. His career took him to live and exhibit all over the world, as well as in France, where he returned in 1995, settling in the Sarthe region. Uzan explores a wide range of techniques to give life to his pieces, which take a variety of forms. Trained in physics, he is above all passionate about research into enamels, which he renders in deep, vivid and nuanced colours. He also passes on his knowledge through articles and books.
