Description
Barbara DELFOSSE (1939-2009): Empty pocket - stoneware ashtray 10 x 10 cm (small chips) Provenance : - acquired directly from the artist - private collection in the Loire Valley A companion of ceramist Pierre Digan, Barbara Delfosse moved to La Borne in 1962 and won the Fondation de la Vocation prize in 1966. After an initial period working with Pierre Digan, she began pursuing an independent artistic path in 1973. In her studio, she creates pieces in clay highlighted by guilloches, engraved and incised repetitive motifs, the nuances of which are revealed by firing with gas and then wood.
