The lower part opening on two sides surmounted by a quadrangular-shaped panel with an openwork pediment of qilong and reishi mushrooms, the whole decorated in hira lacquer and taka maki-e gold and inlaid with bone and aogai, with chidori (plovers) flying among plum trees and branches of liere.
An artist's stamp on the front. The aogai door handle takes the form of a chrysanthemum.
