The partner of Maurice Rapin (1927–2000), Mirabelle Dors was an artist in a class of her own. From 1953 onwards, she exhibited at the Galerie de l’Etoile Scellée, where she met Magritte and Clovis Trouille. An avant-garde pioneer of Surrealism, she created a world of her own, by turns magical and nightmarish. Her works now form part of the Cérès Franco collection.
